Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton sought to put an end to their feud when “The Viper” defended the WWE Championship against his rival on WWE RAW. McIntyre came to the ring carrying a sword.

McIntyre controlled the match early on with two Glasgow Kisses. Orton tried walking out of the match, but McIntyre stopped him. WWE official Adam Pearce stopped Orton when he tried to walk out, and he said that the match would continue without count-outs and disqualifications. Orton then attacked McIntyre with a chair and dominated the match for a few minutes.

Eventually, McIntyre fought back and regained the upper hand, but a superplex from Orton gave the champion the advantage. McIntyre later sent Orton crashing through a table. McIntyre ultimately won the match when he rocked Orton with a Claymore.
