Drew McIntyre Is Planning To Humble Logan Paul, Jaida Parker Recalls Main Roster Debut, More

Drew McIntyre, during a recent visit to the “Untapped” podcast, spoke about the commendable WWE career of Logan Paul to date.

McIntyre commends Paul’s “phenomenal” performance and threatens to humble him when they finally step into the ring against each other. He voiced,

“Logan has performed spectacularly. We’ve seen numerous individuals attempting to cross over to WWE from various sports and sectors of the entertainment industry. Not all are successful, though. I must say that Ronda [Rousey] did brilliantly. Kurt Angle, observing his wrestling career from being an Olympic gold medalist to a Hall of Famer, it’s impressive. But Logan’s performance is extraordinary, given his zero background – his first match itself was a knockout. He’s not just about athletic moves, he is an outstanding athlete and his mannerisms in the ring too reflect that. Understanding one’s persona is the most challenging aspect of our work because if you don’t get it right, the fans won’t resonate with it. Logon not just knows his own identity but if you see his eyes when he enters the ring, you can tell he’s living it. That confidence, that’s what I look for, the eye test. Are you fazed by the situation, or are you sure of yourself? Even a moment of hesitation can throw you off, but Logan – he understands who he is. He takes his time, he has self-belief and he’s likely to do well. He’s young and promising. Eventually, our match will happen, and I will bring him down to size, and teach him humility. I will openly taunt him as I’m dominating him, but I must say he’s putting up a good show. He’s doing very well indeed.”

McIntyre discussed his ongoing rivalry with Damian Priest during a recent conversation with Daily Star. He elaborated,

“The road to Mania still has six weeks left and fortunes can alter during that time. It would be untrue if I claimed not being vexed about not contesting in one of the title matches, especially after the year I’ve had. That’s due to my intense determination and the limited opportunities often available. I appreciated the fans reaction, but I want them to have patience and allow us a chance to unfold the story. My feud with Priest began after last year’s WrestleMania when he saw an opportunity to cash in on me, after I was attacked by Punk. It seems he only knows to succeed at my cost. During the Elimination Chamber, he took the chance to eliminate me right after I squared off Cena. He plays a vulture, thriving on other’s misfortunes. In response to his antics, I served him a taste of his own medicine, last week and I’m open to more if it goes up till Mania – a year-long story and thereby deserving of the grandest stage to receive a fitting retribution.”

Jaida Parker spoke about her main roster debut in this year’s women’s WWE Royal Rumble match and more, during a recent visit to the “No-Contest Wrestling” podcast.

Key points from the podcast are as below:

On the moment: “Overwhelmed by the moment, I had to hold back my tears. There were days of self-doubt on the path, but the moment reassured, this was my journey all along. It was as if a divine force had me through this phase of trials and tribulations and elevated to the top, it was awe-striking. This was my moment to introduce the world, the WWE Universe, to Jaida Parker, and I believe I did exactly that.”

On a special moment in the bout: “The bout offered me moments that have strengthened my belief and drive in the industry. I’m deeply inspired by the African American women who have shaped the industry over time. Their journey sparks in me the ambition to transition from just being their fan to their peer.”
