World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Drew McIntyre has attained considerable recognition in his career, both within and beyond WWE. Today, before his scheduled performance at WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 this weekend where he hopes to secure his third world champion status for the RAW brand battling Damian Priest, McIntyre was bestowed with another significant accolade. He became an inductee into the Scottish Wrestling Hall of Fame.
McIntyre shared a Tweet expressing his excitement and reverence over the tribute.
Being inducted into the Scottish Wrestling Hall of Fame is a splendific honor. As a proud native of Ayrshire, Scotland, the induction taking place at Ibrox feels incredibly surreal. #WWECastle pic.twitter.com/mrxewNr0Hx

In reflecting on his riveting 17-year career, McIntyre shared his deep-rooted pride of being Scottish. Remarkably, he’s the first active wrestler to be given this honor during a week when a Scottish event is being hosted. McIntyre gave praise to fellow wrestler Piper Niven for her forthcoming WWE Women’s Championship title clash with Bayley.
McIntyre expressed his aspiration to bring a WWE stadium show to Scotland.
A special acknowledgment to Drew McIntyre on receiving this illustrious honor was given.
A hearty thank you to the @LordProvostGCC for attending and witnessing Drew’s induction to the Hall of Fame. Glasgow’s hospitality has been remarkable and the nation takes pride in this moment.
