Shortly after Drew McIntyre learned that he’d officially be facing WWE Champion Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 37, “The All Mighty” brutally attacked his challenger. Sending a message to “The Scottish Warrior,” Lashley showed McIntyre exactly why he is the CEO of the Hurt Business.

Never one to back down from a fight, McIntyre still faced The Miz in their scheduled match. “The Sexy Scotsman” controlled the bout and overpowered The Miz, but John Morrison’s interference prolonged the contest.

Once Morrison was ejected from ringside, McIntyre easily defeated The Miz. In the end, a Claymore Kick would have been enough for the former WWE Champion to get a pin. But to put an exclamation point on the victory, McIntyre made The Miz tap out to the Hurt Lock.

With the win, McIntyre picked up even more momentum heading into his clash with Sheamus at WWE Fastlane. On the company’s website, WWE officially announced that the two rivals will clash at the pay-per-view after they’ve been engaged in a heated feud in recent weeks.

The bad bad blood will boil over when Drew McIntyre and Sheamus go head-to-head at WWE Fastlane.

The long-time friends have turned bitter rivals, as the two have waged war in a series of punishing showdowns. In the leadup to WWE Elimination Chamber, The Celtic Warrior bested a winded The Scottish Warrior in a high-stakes Gauntlet Match on the red brand, but McIntyre’s overcame Sheamus’ advantage to retain his championship. Bobby Lashley imposed his will on McIntyre’s reign, but The King of Claymore Country has remained steadfast in squashing his old friend’s thirst for retribution with one eye on the WWE Title. McIntyre’s quick-hitting Claymore provided an exclamation point in a battle with Sheamus that garnered early Match of the Year buzz on Raw. A No Disqualification rematch resulted in a no contest, after an earth-shattering steel chair collision grounded both men.

Will McIntyre be able to overcome his old friend and continue his unfinished business tour into WrestleMania in a title showdown with The All Mighty? Or will Sheamus throw a wrench in the plans?

Catch the brutal rivalry’s next chapter at WWE Fastlane on Sunday, March 21 at 7 ET/4 PT on Peacock and WWE Network.

Many fans will hope McIntyre and Sheamus will be able to replicate their remarkable match that happened on RAW a few weeks ago.
