Drew McIntyre can’t be too mad about CM Punk’s return to WWE, as he realizes that the former AEW World Champion’s comeback is big business.

“I obviously recognize he’s big for business, he’s a huge name. He draws a lot of eyeballs, that’s very clear when you just look at the numbers. I’m a bigger picture person. I tend to use that criminology degree and look at, beyond all reasonable doubt, look at the evidence, and I’m not going to go into great details right now because now is not the time, but what I said on Raw is there are so few people on the current roster that have been on the same roster as him for years and years.

“I signed when I was 22, I was actually 21 when I signed, but I was on television when I was 22 in 2007. I spent years. I was around the person, I know the person. I know what he’s truly like. I’m aware. It’s cool. It does numbers. That’s awesome for right now.

“I’m going to wait and see right now because I can’t control who gets signed and who doesn’t. I have stories, I’m going to keep them to myself, and in the future, if we cross paths, I ain’t the same guy I was in 2010. I’m a lot bigger, smarter, more experienced and I’ll drop his ass.”

McIntyre and Punk have never faced off one-on-one. The pair last shared the ring in a battle royal on the October 11, 2011 episode of WWE SmackDown which was won by Randy Orton.

The return of CM Punk to WWE has caused quite a stir in the wrestling world. Fans and wrestlers alike are buzzing with excitement over the former AEW World Champion’s comeback. One wrestler who is not too mad about Punk’s return is Drew McIntyre, as he recognizes the big business that comes with it.

During a recent episode of WWE’s “The Bump,” McIntyre spoke about Punk’s return after confronting him on Monday Night RAW. McIntyre acknowledged Punk’s status as a huge name in the industry and the fact that he draws a lot of attention. He mentioned that the numbers speak for themselves when it comes to Punk’s popularity.

However, McIntyre took a bigger picture perspective on the matter. He mentioned that there are very few people on the current roster who have been on the same roster as Punk for years. McIntyre himself has been in the industry for a long time, signing with WWE when he was just 21 years old. He spent years around Punk and knows what he’s truly like as a person.

While McIntyre acknowledged the impact Punk’s return has on the business, he also made it clear that he’s not the same person he was in 2010. McIntyre has grown bigger, smarter, and more experienced over the years. He hinted at having stories about Punk but chose to keep them to himself for now. If they were to cross paths in the future, McIntyre confidently stated that he would come out on top.

Interestingly, McIntyre and Punk have never faced off one-on-one in a match. The last time they shared the ring was in a battle royal on an episode of WWE SmackDown back in 2011. The battle royal was won by Randy Orton.
