Drew McIntyre Defeats Goldberg, Retains WWE Title At Royal Rumble

The WWE Championship Match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view started with a bang, as Drew McIntyre blasted his challenger with a Glasgow Kiss and a Spear before the bell.

Likewise, Goldberg Speared McIntyre through the barricade before the match officially started. Once the bell rang, McIntyre quickly blasted Goldberg with a Claymore for a two count. Goldberg fired back with two Spears for a near fall. A Jackhammer earned Goldberg another near fall.
McIntyre countered another Spear and landed a Claymore for the win.
