Drake Maverick Pins Kushida, Triple Threat Set For Next Week

Drake Maverick may have been let out of his contract by WWE, but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing to shock the world during the NXT Cruiserweight Championship tournament.
Maverick came away with a surprising victory tonight on NXT, defeating Kushida in their match to not only improve to 2-1, but create a three-way tie atop Group A of the Cruiserweight standings. After the match, Byron Saxton came down to the ring to confirm that William Regal has decided to create a Triple Threat Match for next week, featuring all three superstars battling it out for the right to advance to the Finals against El Hijo del Fantasma.
