Due to Dragon Kid suffering from a neck injury, he will be unable to participate in his scheduled match, leaving Taiji Ishimori to face an as-yet-unnamed replacement at the upcoming NJPW showdown.
In the upcoming event titled Superhuman Taiji Ishimori Gets Ridiculous slated for November 12, Ishimori is lined up for five matches, one of which was initially planned against Dragon Kid.
NJPW has now revealed that due to Dragon Kid’s neck complication, Ishimori’s face-off will now be against an opponent who is to be announced during the event’s flagship match.
In another development, wrestling veteran Scorpio Jr., after a stellar 40-year-career with CMLL and AAA, has sadly passed away at just 58 years old.
El Hijo del Santo confirmed the unfortunate news of Scorpio’s passing via a Twitter post on Thursday night.
Santo’s heartfelt message reads, “We join the grief that overwhelms the family of our great friend and colleague. Que En Paz Descanse.”
