On the NWA vs. AAA show: “I think it was great. It was in March, we started to have conversations with Billy Corgan and his team almost last year. It was the first show that happened in the festival, and with the whole concert watching next to us, it was fantastic. It was a good chemistry, and everybody, Billy, ourselves, we were super happy with it. I think it was a good experiment.”

On working further with NWA going forward: “Let’s see what happens at least, for the next step, we are having discussions of how we can give follow up to this. I know that Billy has been in Australia, having all kinds of awesome matches over there with the NWA and a local promotion. But I think that it could be possibilities to expand this, maybe to America, maybe to another territory with the AAA brand.”

On AAA’s relationship with NWA: “We are super happy, we are working really well together. As a company, we try to have open bridges with all the other companies.”

In other news, professional wrestling superfan Vladimir Abouzeide recently underwent surgery to resolve issues related to his Parkinson’s disease, Pwinsider reports.

Abouzeide, the subject of an unaired WWE documentary, went under the knife on Friday in order to resolve physical issues related to the condition.

The spinal surgery took four hours and required four surgeons to work on Abouzeide simultaneously.

The surgery has been successful and will require four to six weeks of physical therapy once Abouzeide is healed enough to do so.

Abouzeide made his Parkinson’s diagnosis public over WrestleMania 39 weekend.
