Speaking recently on the “Wrestling With Things” podcast, the ex-WWE Superstar Donovan Dijak shared his thoughts on his exit from WWE.
During his stint at NXT, Dijak certainly proved his mettle. However, his shift to the primary roster during the 2024 WWE Draft did not exactly meet the expectations set for him. Post his WWE contract expiration on June 28, the 37-year-old ring artist is officially on the market as a free agent.
Here are some notable moments extracted from the interview:
When asked about his non-renewal with WWE, Donovan Dijak responded: “I find it tough to blame this on Triple H’s administration, as too much has transformed. A couple of years ago, one could have easily pointed fingers at Vince McMahon. He was at the helm. He owned the company, and he single-handedly managed the creative direction. Every single decision was vetted by Vince McMahon.”
Discussing the differential vibe at WWE now: “Things now are totally different. The helm is now commanded by Endeavor, featuring a board of directors in collaboration with WWE staff. Then there’s another layer beneath that housing the creative minds.. It’s a multitude of possible decision-makers now… I can’t single out and blame this on any particular individual, primarily because I am oblivious to that.”
