On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Dominik Mysterio appeared with his arm in a sling and announced that he was banged up. It was later reported that his injury was legitimate.
Earlier today, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Mysterio suffered the injury in his match with Andrade last week and would undergo Ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, also called Tommy John surgery.
The report stated, “Dominik Mysterio also had an elbow injury. It apparently happened in a 4/15 match with Andrade and was described to us as a freak accident. He will be undergoing Tommy John surgery on his elbow which for a baseball pitcher means at least nine months out. Since he doesn’t have to throw pitches hard, his recovery time would probably be a little shorter. As of right now, the plan would be to keep him as a television character while recovering. He was off the European tour and had his arm in a sling at RAW.”
Meanwhile, Mysterio took to Twitter to debunk the report, noting that he has no intention to go under the knife.
He tweeted, “No surgery for this guy.”
While Mysterio may continue to appear on WWE TV for the foreseeable future, fellow Judgment Day member and former Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley plans to stay off until she fully recovers.

Dominik Mysterio Denies Reports of Injury and Surgery
In a surprising turn of events, WWE superstar Dominik Mysterio has denied reports of an injury and the need for surgery. On this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Mysterio appeared with his arm in a sling, leading fans to believe that he was indeed banged up. However, the wrestler took to Twitter to debunk the rumors, stating, “No surgery for this guy.”
Earlier today, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Mysterio had suffered an elbow injury during his match with Andrade last week. The injury was described as a freak accident, and it was believed that Mysterio would undergo Ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, commonly known as Tommy John surgery. This type of surgery is typically associated with baseball pitchers and requires a recovery time of at least nine months.
The report also mentioned that Mysterio’s recovery time might be shorter since he doesn’t have to throw pitches hard like a baseball player. Despite this, the plan was to keep him as a television character while he recovered. Mysterio’s absence from the European tour and his appearance with his arm in a sling on RAW seemed to support these claims.
However, Mysterio’s tweet dismissing the reports has left fans puzzled. It remains unclear whether the initial report was inaccurate or if Mysterio’s condition has improved since then. WWE has not released an official statement regarding the situation.
While Mysterio may continue to appear on WWE TV for the foreseeable future, fellow Judgment Day member and former Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has decided to take a break until she fully recovers. This decision comes as no surprise, as Ripley has been dealing with various injuries throughout her career.
Fans will have to wait for further updates to know the true extent of Mysterio’s injury and whether he will require surgery or not. In the meantime, they can continue to enjoy his performances on WWE programming, while also wishing him a speedy recovery if he is indeed injured.
