After months of refusing to strike his son, Rey finally agreed to a match against Dominik and would defeat ‘Dirty Dom’ in Los Angeles.
Speaking to “Metro,” Dominik recalled facing his father at the biggest show of the year. He said,
“I was like, ‘Dude… I just wrestled my dad at Wrestlemania. This is pretty surreal!’ I was like, ‘Damn, and I beat his ass!’”
Dominik is in his first reign as NXT North American Champion, having dethroned Wes Lee in July of this year.
