Wrestler Dominik Mysterio has shared his readiness to challenge CM Punk in the wrestling ring, expressing his frustration with veteran wrestlers trying to compete with younger stars.
In a recent conversation with Adam Barnard on the Foundation Radio platform, the Judgment Day representative voiced his openness to work with stars like CM Punk and The Rock who are still active in the wrestling circuit.
Highlights from the interview can be seen below:
Regarding CM Punk’s interest in wrestling him: “To begin with, the last time I shared the ring with CM Punk, I was only 11 years old. He thought he was clever singing happy birthday to my sister. But now, I invite him to face me. I had the same height as my dad then. Currently, I’ve grown to 6’1, 200 pounds. I’ve seen CM Punk’s wrestling skills, so let’s see what he’s got, old man.”
On veterans like Punk and The Rock continuing to wrestle: “Frankly, these aged stars believing they can keep up and compete with the fresh talent is frustrating. I’m not speaking on behalf of everyone – only myself. At the end of the day, I’m my own person, the greatest Mysterio of all time. These veterans who think they can compete, should. CM Punk, The Rock – it doesn’t matter. They’re just upset because they don’t have hair, while I sport the best hair and the finest mustache.”
