Welcome to a fresh eWrestlingNews Question of the Day episode! We shared the news recently that Bobby Lashley, along with MVP and Tamina Snuka, may be nearing the end of their contracts. Looking at WWE’s recent history, this often suggests that WWE is possibly uninterested in renewing them or that the contract discussions aren’t progressing well.
MVP seems set to depart given his Instagram comments about Triple H not reviving The Hurt Business, and a tweet indicating a “farewell” type of message. This departure will be a significant loss, as would Tamina’s exit. Nonetheless, the exit of Lashley from WWE, the sole active Superstar among them, could be felt the most.
The question on my mind today is “Should Bobby Lashley depart from WWE? If he does, where would you envision him going?” We’re not speculating if he will leave; that’s up to Lashley and WWE. We’re asking whether you’d want him to stay or pursue other opportunities?

Here’s my take on it…
Without a doubt, I don’t want to see Lashley leaving WWE. Here’s why –
Principally, I would only want a wrestler to leave if I feel they could have better opportunities elsewhere or they could be happier personally. The former mainly guides my opinion since I can’t attest much to Lashley’s personal life. So, would Lashley find more success or intrigue in another organization? I don’t think so.
Lashley’s stint in TNA Wrestling was quite revealing. Heading back there doesn’t present anything new or exciting that we haven’t seen, except maybe a few matches that, honestly, I’m not in a rush for.
Will the indie circuit be a step-up for him? Not so much. It would mean I would see less of him, and he would be taking up spots from less renowned guys who could benefit more.
Of course, he could try his luck again in MMA, but I don’t watch that. New Japan is another option, but I’m not sure that would be an upgrade unless he gets a guaranteed shot at the world championship.
The same goes for All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Though there are plenty of talents he could have great matches with, I wouldn’t prefer that unless there’s a guarantee of a strong impact.
To me, WWE provides the best platform for renowned wrestlers like Lashley. The bigger they are, the more I would like them to stay in WWE, especially if they are potential future Hall of Famers like Lashley.
To sum up, I want Lashley to stay in WWE to finish his journey there before exploring other opportunities. As far as MVP and Tamina go, I feel they’ve tapped out their potential, particularly if no one is keen on using MVP’s ideas.
The Pride isn’t impressive as such, but Lashley himself should stay put, even if that group disbands.
