Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE may make another attempt at a working relationship with NJPW.

“There has been talk internally of them trying to make another go with New Japan, now that Hiroshi Tanahashi is president. With AEW having Forbidden Door which has been a major success for both sides the past two years, that would be a key factor in play for continuing the relationship with AEW, plus AEW allows its top stars to go to major New Japan events both in the U.S. and Japan,” Meltzer wrote.

WWE Interested in Working with STARDOM and NJPW

The world of professional wrestling is constantly evolving, with promotions looking for new opportunities to collaborate and expand their reach. Recently, it has been reported that WWE is showing interest in working with STARDOM, a Japanese women’s professional wrestling promotion. This news comes as no surprise, considering WWE’s history of collaborating with various promotions around the world.

STARDOM, along with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), is under the ownership of Bushi Road, a Japanese entertainment company. This connection between STARDOM and NJPW could potentially pave the way for a working relationship between WWE and NJPW as well.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there have been internal discussions within WWE about making another attempt at a partnership with NJPW. This interest has grown since Hiroshi Tanahashi became the president of NJPW. Tanahashi’s leadership and influence could play a crucial role in establishing a fruitful collaboration between the two promotions.

One significant factor that might contribute to WWE’s desire to work with NJPW is the success of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and their “Forbidden Door” concept. AEW has been able to establish partnerships with multiple promotions worldwide, including NJPW. This collaboration has proven to be mutually beneficial for both AEW and NJPW, allowing their top stars to appear in each other’s events in the United States and Japan.

WWE might see the potential in replicating this success and expanding its global presence by partnering with NJPW. The opportunity to showcase their talent on a larger scale and attract a broader audience could be enticing for both promotions.

It is important to note that these discussions are still in the early stages, and nothing has been confirmed yet. However, the mere possibility of WWE and NJPW working together is generating excitement among wrestling fans worldwide.

If this collaboration were to come to fruition, it would undoubtedly be a game-changer for the wrestling industry. The dream matches and crossover events that could take place would create a buzz like never before. Fans would witness dream matchups between WWE and NJPW stars, creating unforgettable moments in the history of professional wrestling.

As fans eagerly await further updates on this potential partnership, it is clear that the wrestling landscape is evolving rapidly. The boundaries between promotions are becoming more fluid, allowing for exciting opportunities and fresh matchups. Whether or not WWE and NJPW join forces, it is evident that the wrestling world is entering a new era of collaboration and innovation.
