During her recent guest appearance on the “Insight with Chris Van Vliet” podcast, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) wrestler Deonna Purrazzo shared her ambition to secure an AEW title. The wrestler stated,
“I have my sights set on the AEW Women’s World Championship [laughs]. I’m drawn to the unique atmosphere, the diverse roster of women I’m yet to work with, and the new challenges that come with it. I had settled into TNA, I understood the workings, the individuals, and my role there. I was a top performer in TNA, which gave me a certain freedom to voice my thoughts and propose ideas. Whereas, in AEW, it feels as if I have to regain those privileges once again. Even though there is still a lot for me to achieve, I finally feel like myself, like ‘The Virtuosa’. I have been with AEW for over nine months now. Initially, I felt lost, trying to adjust to a new system, but now I sense that I am finally adapting.”
This Wednesday night, an exciting match awaits as Mark Briscoe is set to challenge Chris Jericho for the Ring Of Honor (ROH) World Title in a Ladder War on AEW Dynamite.
Mark Briscoe, in conversation with Adam Barnard from the Foundation Radio, discussed his continuing conflict with The Learning Tree boss, stating,
“Jericho… seems incapable of keeping his mouth shut. He has made a career out of constantly reinventing himself, but his latest persona might be the man who gets beaten by me regularly because he can’t stop talking. He tries to badmouth me, saying things like ‘I’m going to be a two-time Ring of Honor champion, just like Jay Briscoe’. If he manages to win, then well, he will make his point. But his attempts just reveal a sour attitude. You should know you’re messing with the wrong guy. This isn’t about the title, but about him constantly provoking me. He is trying to remain relevant, but he’s picked the wrong person. This could be his final performance because he might not get up for a while after the match. I’m known for my brutal style, for causing harm rather than performing fancy maneuvers.”
He warned, “Jericho has made a grave error. He might witness the end of his illustrious career simply because he can’t keep quiet.”
