Professional wrestler Rhino recently made an appearance on “The Wrestling Classic” podcast where he shared his views on deathmatches in wrestling. Although he has not personally participated in a deathmatch, Rhino believes they could work under certain circumstances.

During his talk, Rhino discussed deathmatches saying, “I think they cater to a distinct audience. Not all wrestlers need to do them. If the narrative builds up to a popular wrestler like Matt Cardona taking part in a deathmatch, it works because there’s a segment of fans who really enjoy these types of matches.” Rhino also expressed a more personal aversion to the use of needles in these kinds of matches, stating that he prefers the ‘hardcore’ style that includes tables and chairs which doesn’t exclude younger viewers.

On the “Digital Social Hour” podcast, AEW star Deonna Purrazzo sang the praises of Gail Kim, whom she regards as one of the most influential figures in women’s wrestling. She credited Gail Kim’s impact on her own career and discussed her admiration for Kim’s refusal to let others determine the course of her career.

In Purrazzo’s words, “Gail Kim started in WWE, moved to TNA and truly established her identity there. After returning to WWE, she left on her own terms, in a way that had never been seen before. Her confidence in herself and the precedent she set was inspirational.” Purrazzo further acknowledged Kim’s influence as a powerful woman who defied expectations and boundaries, hinting towards her own feisty nature.

Lastly, Mike Bailey, during his participation in the “Close Up” podcast, expressed his admiration for Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. He praised their ground-breaking wrestling style and their unique way of delivering their speeches. He voiced his desire to face off against these stars and said, “Kenny Omega & Will Ospreay are two wrestlers who always sound natural while cutting promos. They possess an authentic way of communicating in the ring.”
