In recent weeks, the WWE has been showcasing teasers during their NXT broadcasts to introduce a new character, DELTA, for the forthcoming NXT Halloween Havoc 2024 special live event. Unexpectedly, the most recent teaser culminated in the revelation that DELTA would be rebranded as ZARIA.
The introduction of the newly-named character, ZARIA was announced with a tweet from the official WWE Twitter account:
“Introducing…ZARIA! #WWENXT,” tweeted WWE on October 23, 2024.
Notably, the USPTO.report does not yet list a trademark for ZARIA under the WWE. One could infer that WWE will expedite the trademark process now that the name change has been made public. However, there have been instances in the past where the name of a character was altered post-announcement.
