Australian professional wrestler DELTA is reportedly set to join World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) following a successful tryout earlier this year during WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth weekend.
Having made her name in Australian wrestling promotion, Riot City Wrestling (RCW), DELTA took to Twitter to express her gratitude towards the people who have supported her throughout her wrestling journey.
In a heartfelt Twitter post, she reflected on the most emotional, challenging and meaningful match of her career that took place three weeks ago. She talked about the fear of looking back at the pictures and videos, but found only happiness looking at the faces of her supporters.
She expressed her gratitude to RCW founders Mat and Chris Basso, and described Riot City Wrestling as a ‘magical place’ where people grow as individuals and wrestlers. She encouraged more people to experience RCW and benefit from the expertise of its founders.
She also acknowledged the contribution of fellow wrestler Matt Hayter, well-known for toughening up upcoming wrestlers. Underscoring his love for wrestling and his brilliant mind, DELTA admitted his influence on her growth as a wrestler over the past two years.
In particular, she pointed out the integral role her brother, Dean Brady, played. From letting her join him at the wrestling gym to becoming her most cherished tag partner and best friend, Dean Brady’s support was instrumental to her success.
She concluded her statement thanking everyone for the best five years of her wrestling career and looking forward to more exciting years ahead.
This comes in the wake of WWE’s strategic signing of top talent for its women’s roster in 2024, including the addition of Stephanie Vaquer from CMLL and Giulia earlier this year.
