Longtime professional wrestler Barry Horowitz recently expressed his discomfort with the use of the term “jobber” in the wrestling industry. During an appearance on the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Horowitz described the term as degrading and insisted on calling his role as “enhancement talent” instead.

He shared on the podcast, “The employment-related term, it’s a bit insulting in my view. I am aware it’s wrestling linguistics, and I have no issue with that. But then it’s taken and used by fans who presume they have insider knowledge – which is inaccurate, they are merely reading this online or hearing varied opinions.”

He further added, “I certainly dislike that label. It’s belittling, it’s pointless, it’s dismissive. Enhancement is the appropriate word, or what Tim Horner once told me, ‘Hey Barry, we are the ones who turn others into stars.’ That changed my perspective.”

In a separate note, Diamond Dallas Page discussed his pivotal role in wrestling history during WCW days and his involvement in WWE 2K24 DLC during a conversation with “Undisputed Substack”. He particularly recalls the moment from Nitro’s January 13th,1997 episode where he turned down an invitation to join nWo, cleverly surprising Hall and Nash with his actions.

Page also shared his admiration for the rising success of Cody Rhodes in WWE. “Cody was the one who saw it all. The persons who state, ‘I’ll look at it once I have faith in it,’ they see nothing. The ones who state, ‘I believe it because I visualize it,’ they’re the ones with the foresight. Cody is one such visionary. Recalling 2K24 with his image on the cover in this era of video game dominance, it reminds me of Cody’s envisioning himself as a champion ten years ago.”

Page also revealed his extended association with WWE via Legends Deal. In a recent conversation with “Bleacher Report”, he communicated his joy over his renewed alliance with WWE, reminiscing about the time he helped young Cody Rhodes return to WWE.

Among other highlights, Page discussed his delight about being part of WWE 2K24 as DLC and the growing respect for legends at WWE attributing it to Triple H and Nick Khan.
