Professional wrestler Dax Harwood made an announcement on Twitter this Monday, revealing that he is currently unable to perform due to an injury he sustained during AEW Dynasty. The injury occurred while Harwood was maneuvering a piledriver against Matt Jackson during their match.
Despite the injury, Harwood decided not to inform the medical team and the executives of AEW initially as he wished to keep performing. He apologized to the AEW workforce for not being forthright about his situation. He further explained that he is suffering from a severe hematoma on his back but didn’t want to halt the momentum FTR, the group he’s part of, was gaining. He did not wish to leave the road due to the injury also affecting his tag team partner, Cash Wheeler.
After undergoing an x-ray, AEW’s Doctor Sampson immediately pulled him off live shows.
All of us send Dax Harwood our best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.
In a tweet, Harwood expressed his apologies and thoughts:
“An explanation I feel I owe everyone. The fans, my boss, the medical team, and the whole roster. I appreciate you all, and I hope to see you soon. Top Guys, out.”- Uncle Dax FTR (@DaxFTR) on June 11, 2024
