David Benoit On Filming Dark Side Of The Ring: ‘I Let 13 Years Of Pain Go’

Chris Benoit’s son, David, recently sat down to talk with SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio regarding the ongoing Dark Side of the Ring series on his father. During the intevriew, Benoit acknowledged that finally being able to discuss his father in that setting helped him let go of years of pain that he held on to.

“I let 13 years of just pain go away when I sat there in front of that camera,” he said. “I let it all out, and I felt like a new man and yeah. I got to select everyone I wanted, so Dean [Malenko], Chris [Jericho], Vicky [Guerrero], those are the main people I picked.”

According to David Benoit, he believes that once people finish watching the second – and final – part of the documentary that airs tonight, he believes people might have a different view of his father.

“You know…part two will hard. You know, when I watched it before it came out, it hit me hard,” he said. “I didn’t expect some things on there. You’ll have to tune in tonight to find out.”
