As we previously reported here on eWn, former WWE developmental talent Daniel Rodimer was indicted on murder charges and surrendered to authorities in March.

Rodimer’s trial began yesterday, and according to a report by Pwinsider, he has pleaded not guilty.

Rodimer stands accused of assaulting Christopher Tapp on October 29 after Tapp had allegedly offered cocaine to Rodimer’s stepdaughter in a Las Vegas hotel room.

While Tapp’s death was initially believed to be caused by an apparent overdose and a fall, an autopsy later revealed that the victim had suffered blunt force trauma to the head and had used cocaine.

Tapp passed away at Sunrise Hospital on November 5.

Rodimer’s attorney, David Chesnoff, has stated that his client “vigorously denies any responsibility for the allegations.”
