Daniel Bryan wants to go one-on-one with “The Great One,” but it’s not for any reason pertaining to the world of professional wrestling.
Daniel Bryan versus The Rock. Surely, that is a dream match of epic proportions. Two of the most popular superstars in WWE history clashing for supremacy in an epic encounter worthy of WrestleMania. Who wouldn’t want to see that?
Daniel Bryan recently took to Twitter to announce that he wants that match with The Rock but it’s not because he wants to prove who is the superior wrestler. He wants to fight Dwayne Johnson because his daughter, Birdie Joe Danielson, just won’t stop listening to The Rock’s hit song from the Disney movie Moana, “You’re Welcome.”
I would love to do a match with @TheRock based solely on how many times my daughter has made me listen to “You’re Welcome.” And then of course it’s stuck in my head and I sing it all day. 🙈🙈🙈

CM Punk revealed on his controversial appearance on the Art of Wrestling podcast in 2014, that if he refused to turn heel in 2011, Daniel Bryan would have been the person to face The Rock for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble in 2012. At that time, The Rock was teasing Daniel Bryan about his size by mocking him with the Oompa Loompa song from Willy Wonka. So, it clearly always goes back to movie soundtracks with these two men.
Daniel Bryan and his wife, Brie Bella, just welcomed their second child and first son to the world on August 1st, 2020. Nikki Bella also welcomed her son less than 24 hours before that on July 31st. If this trend continues, it’s only a matter of time before the Bella Twins challenge Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell to a tag team match because songs from Frozen just won’t get out of their head.
