Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with The Kevin Owens Show, where Daniel Bryan was a special guest. During his interview with Owens, Bryan talked about how to make SmackDown better, while Owens asked Bryan if he’d be up to partnering together in a tag team. While Bryan was noncommittal to the idea, the duo were interrupted from Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, The Street Profits, and Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura kickstarted an eight-man tag team match between the groups.
During the chaotic match, it was Bryan, Owens, and The Street Profits who came away with a win thanks to some timely teamwork from the three. Late in the match, Bryan landed a huge flying knee on Cesaro off the top rope, which was followed by Owens hitting a cannonball on the rest of the opponents outside of the ring. In the ring, The Street Profits landed their finisher on Cesaro for the pin.
