Danhausen Wants To Face CM Punk At Forbidden Door, Andrade/Punk Reunite

As we previously reported here on eWn, a rumored matchup between CM Punk and KENTA will not be taking place this Sunday at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II.

However, AEW star Danhausen has now stepped up to wrestle Punk this weekend. Danhausen tweeted,

“Danhausen will face Pepsi Phil at the foreboding door ppv event but Danhausen is still injured so he has to lay down and let Danhausen pin him.”

Punk and Danhausen share a good relationship outside the ring. The former AEW World Champion even gifted Danhausen an issue of ‘Amazing Fantasy Issue #15’, the first appearance of Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man.

Andrade El Idolo and CM Punk both made their return to AEW this past Saturday on AEW Collision.

Andrade defeated Buddy Matthews in singles action while Punk and FTR scored a victory over Samoa Joe and Bullet Club Gold in the main event of Collision.

Andrade took to Twitter to share a photo with Punk backstage. The Mexican star tweeted,
