WWE United States Champion Damian Priest wants to live forever, and in two weeks, he gets to be part of music history as he will be presenting at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
This is a big spot for Damian Priest as WWE continues to try and branch out into new entertainment markets to create new viewers of their company. It’s comparable to several weeks ago when WWE SmackDown had matches at the Rolling Loud Music Festival in Miami during their live broadcast on FOX.
Damian Priest took to social media this afternoon to make the official announcement:
“I will be presenting an award at the 2021 @LatinBillboards on September 23 at 7pm/6c on @Telemundo. Don’t miss it! #Billboards2021 #LiveForever,” Damian Priest tweeted.
This event will be a big night for Priest’s WrestleMania tag-team partner Bad Bunny who has 22 nods in 13 categories on the show. The following is an excerpt from Billboard.com:
Bad Bunny leads the list of finalists for the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards, with 22 nods in 13 categories, including artist of the year, songwriter of the year, Hot Latin Songs artist of the year, top Latin rhythm album and top Latin album of the year — with three of his releases up for wins.
It’s a stellar showing that caps a very good year for the Puerto Rican rapper, who was able to place three albums — El Último Tour del Mundo, YHLQMDLG and Las Que No Iban a Salir — atop the Billboard charts during the eligibility period for the awards (Feb. 1, 2020, through the Aug. 7, 2021, charts).
It would be fun to see Damian Priest and Bad Bunny reunite at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards on September 23.
