Damian Priest triumphed over Finn Balor during the WWE Bad Blood 2024 pay-per-view event on Saturday night with his South of Heaven move.

In a post-show media roundup, Priest was questioned about his future with The Judgment Day.

Here are some key takeaways from the media briefing after the show.

Priest on his future with The Judgement Day: “Whether I’m finished with The Judgment Day or not, I need to give it some thought. Winning today was satisfying, especially defeating the man whom I warned would regret his actions – a feat I believe I have accomplished. While The Judgment Day is unlikely to be over for me, the lure of championship is undeniable. This is something I need to contemplate. I’m off tomorrow and I’ll be pondering over this. You can expect an answer from me by Monday.”

Priest on deserving another championship match after his victory: “Without doubt. Finn Balor, despite what one may think, remains a significant contender in the industry. I managed to defeat him, even without having my rematch opportunity and despite getting cheated out of the title. So I believe I deserve to be in contention, to be at the forefront. I’m keeping tabs on not just this championship, but all of them. This is the reason we’re in this industry – to be victorious, to be the champion. Thus, these are things I’m contemplating.”

Priest on the potential of creating a new Judgment Day with Rhea Ripley: “The initial intent of The Judgment Day was to amalgamate talent who, despite their capability to be the main attraction, the face on the billboards, weren’t there yet. We got together to push each other. Rhea and I succeeded in this. While teaming up with friends was enjoyable, it’s now time to see what I can achieve solo. Rhea is my best friend, but we’re part of different divisions, women’s and men’s respectively, and we need to tread our own paths.”
