The WWE Raw tonight kicked off with global heavyweight champion Gunther delivering a promotional segment opposite The Judgment Day, where he assured he will maintain his title against Finn Balor for the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. The session was disrupted by Damian Priest who is looking for payback from Balor for his meddling in Priest’s bouts against Gunther during SummerSlam and Survivor Series: WarGames.
The chaotic brawl that followed, along with prior issues between these three, prompted Raw’s General Manager Adam Pearce to revise the match. The contest will now also involve The Archer of Infamy, transforming it into a Triple Threat match with Gunther taking on Finn Balor and Damian Priest.
Pearce also announced that on the upcoming episode of Monday Night Raw, Balor and JD McDonagh will be required to protect the World Tag Team Championship against War Raiders Erik & Ivar. The rest of The Judgment Day won’t be allowed at ringside, he stated.
