Dalton Castle, a professional wrestler, has sustained an injury during his recent match against Roderick Strong on the AEW Collision episode. The injury led to editing of the match as Castle was reportedly knocked unconscious after a knee strike from Strong.
In a recent confirmation by AEW President Tony Khan, Castle’s injury will sideline him for the rest of 2024. He tweeted:
“Some injury news that’s forced changes to the plans for this Friday’s #ROHDBD Death Before Dishonor. Dalton Castle was injured in his Saturday Night AEW Collision bout last week vs Roderick Strong. Unfortunately, Dalton will be out of action for the remainder of 2024. Get well soon DC.”
Tony Khan also made an announcement about an upcoming match between Leyla Hirsch and Diamante, a Texas Death Match scheduled for ROH Death Before Dishonor on July 26 at the Esports Stadium in Arlington, TX.
Updates for the ROH Death Before Dishonor 2024 lineup are as follows:
For the ROH World Championship, Mark Briscoe (c) will go against Roderick Strong. The ROH Women’s World Championship will see Athena (c) face Queen Aminata. In the ROH Women’s World TV Championship, Billie Starkz (c) will take on Red Velvet. The Texas Death Match features Leyla Hirsch versus Diamante.
