Tonight didn’t go as planned for Team Ripley as Mia Yim was taken out backstage before their WarGmes bout against Shayna Baszler and her crew. Replacing Yim was Dakota Kai, who played a pivotal role in the four-on-four match.

When it finally was Dakota Kai’s turn to enter the WarGames match, she began to viciously attack her supposed-to-be partner Tegan Nox. NXT GM William Regal came out with referees to get some order instilled, but Kai pushed Regal and continued to attack Nox. This gave Team Baszler a four-on-two advantage, which the NXT Women’s Champion was thrilled about.

Candice LeRae and Rhea Ripley fought valiantly and weren’t about to give up against Baszler, Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray, and Bianca Belair. The win came after Rhea Ripley fought out of a rear-naked choke attempt by Baszler and slammed her through two chairs. It was an epic moment that should put Ripley next in line for the NXT Women’s Championship.
