WWE Hall of Famer and all-round wrestling legend, D-Von Dudley, recently shared videos on YouTube detailing some of the most brutal wrestling maneuvers he’s experienced throughout his career. The Chokeslam, according to D-Von Dudley, ranks as one of the harshest moves, categorizing it as an S-Tier technique, a testament to its extreme intensity.
Here are a few snippets from the video:
Talking about the Chokeslam, D-Von recounted, “There’s this move that has been employed on me numerous times. It wasn’t just utilized for finishing the match but could also be a speed breaker for me and Bubba during a match – and that is the Chokeslam. It’s quite a perilous move. Picture this – you’re hold by your neck and lifted up, say by The Undertaker. He lifts you as high as possible. Don’t forget, he is already at a towering seven feet height. And then consider being lifted by Big Show, who is even taller than ‘Taker. Once they lift you up, they hold you up there until the perfect moment to slam you down.”
Discussing about the after-effects of a Chokeslam, he expressed, “Saying it knocks the wind out of you would drastically understate it. I’ve even heard stories of guys who’ve soiled themselves following the landing – no kidding. Thankfully, I never encountered that episode. I never faced the embarrassment of soiling myself after receiving the Chokeslam, but boy, it felt like it did happen. Hence, I’d assert that Chokeslam undoubtedly ranks in the S-Tier category. Even though visually, it might seem one of the safest bumps to take, the actual experience is anything but.”
