Court Bauer Responds To Jacob Fatu Allegations, REELZ, ROH Supercard Of Honor 2023
Jacob Fatu was recently accused of no-showing two independent events for which he charged money in advance.
Fatu was scheduled to appear at Pro Wrestling King in Indiana and Frontline Pro Wrestling in Wisconsin but reportedly never hit the road.
In an interview with Fightful, MLW founder Court Bauer addressed the allegations against Fatu, noting that the promotion is taking the matter seriously. He said,
“We’re watching it very carefully and we take it very seriously. Fatu books himself on third-party shows, we have no involvement with that, but it is something we’ve had meetings on and we’re watching carefully and we’re continuing to monitor it and learn more about it. We work with charities, privately, not for ‘oh, isn’t that great he does that.’ A lot of us probably work with charities, so when you see something like that, how does it make you feel? It’s something we genuinely watch.”
Pwinsider reports that a REELZ spokesperson said that the network is in talks with MLW for Season 2 of Underground. There have been rumors that MLW and REELZ could have parted ways following the conclusion of the inaugural season of Underground.
The REELZ spokesperson said,
“Talks for season two continue. Fans of Major League Wrestling can still watch past episodes of Underground Wrestling on subscription VOD services including Amazon Channels, Fire TV and Roku.”
REELZ is also currently working on wrestling-themed documentaries.
