As 40,000 fans pack into Minute Maid Park in Houston for the WWE Royal Rumble, the online desire for news of big surprise returns in the annual 30-man match is at a fever pitch. Today the following image started to circulate on Reddit featuring the big screen being used at tonight’s venue which flashed the logo of former WWE superst MVP. Now this may not confirm a return by the former WWE United States Champion tonight, but it shows that WWE’s production team could be prepare to ball out a thrilling return entrance.
Since leaving WWE at the end of 2013, Montell Vontavious Porter remained active in pro wrestling, becoming the first New Japan Pro Wrestling Intercontinental Champion as well competing in Impact, Ring of Honor, and various independent appearances. Outside of wrestling, he has made hip hop music and competed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments.
The last time MVP was seen on WWE television was when he had a cameo on the 25th anniversary of RAW in January 2018.
