Coronavirus Concerns Force Alex Shelley Out Of wXw 16 Carat Gold Card

German wrestling promotion wXw was set to have Alex Shelley perform on their wXw 16 Carat Gold event but that won’t be the case now.
Due to Coronavirus concerns, Shelley will not be attending the event. When he isn’t wrestling, Shelley works at a health clinic. As such, he’s doing the responsible thing and avoiding any dangerous travel as he works with immunocompromised patients. “Even if I don’t get sick, I could be a potential vector,” explained Shelley. “As much as I want to finally wrestle in a legendary venue against someone awesome, I have to do what’s right by my ethical compass.”
Due to the late notice and Germany’s current Coronavirus issues, wXw is not booking a replacement. “We do understand Alex’s decision and hope to be working with him in the future,” the promotion wrote. “As there is a lot of insecurity regarding travel to Germany and events in Germany at this time we will not be bringing in last minute replacements.”
We regret to inform you that @fakekinkade won’t be at #wXw16Carat. As Alex works with immunocompromised patients in a clinic in his real job, he cannot risk exposing himself to a possible infection with the corona virus by traveling to Germany & wrestling.
