“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making the world forget that he existed.”

Many fans have taken this as a nod to Punk’s return as the former WWE & AEW World Champion used a similar line during a Ring of Honor promo.

Taking to Twitter, Graves reminded fans that this line is also from 1995’s ‘The Usual Suspects,’ a film the SmackDown commentator thinks fans should watch.

Fans have spotted other ‘clues’ that Punk is returning, including Seth Rollins describing himself as the ‘Best in the World’ during a recent promo.

Punk said in September that he is free for the next two months, which some have taken as a sign of a WWE return this November at Survivor Series 2023 in Punk’s native Chicago.

Is CM Punk Returning to WWE? Corey Graves Drops a Hint

During the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Corey Graves made a comment that has sparked speculation about the potential return of CM Punk. As a promotional graphic for the Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match at Fastlane played, Graves said, “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making the world forget that he existed.”

This line immediately caught the attention of fans, as it closely resembles a line used by CM Punk during a Ring of Honor promo. Many fans took this as a hint that Punk might be making his return to WWE.

However, Graves took to Twitter to clarify that the line is actually from the 1995 film ‘The Usual Suspects.’ He suggested that fans should watch the movie to understand the reference. This clarification from Graves indicates that his comment may not have been a direct nod to Punk’s return.

Despite this, fans have been quick to spot other potential clues that suggest Punk might be returning. One such clue is Seth Rollins referring to himself as the “Best in the World” during a recent promo. This phrase was famously associated with Punk during his time in WWE.

Furthermore, Punk himself stated in September that he is free for the next two months, leading some to speculate that he could make a comeback at Survivor Series 2023 in his hometown of Chicago.

While these hints and speculations have fueled excitement among fans, it is important to approach them with caution. WWE has a history of teasing returns and surprises, sometimes leading to disappointment when expectations aren’t met.

For now, wrestling enthusiasts will have to wait and see if CM Punk does indeed make a comeback to WWE. In the meantime, you can stay updated on all your wrestling news on eWrestlingNews.com or follow them on Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates.
