Cora Jade, during her recent appearance on ‘The Takedown’ podcast, expressed her gratitude towards Shawn Michaels, the Head of WWE NXT Creative, for consistently supporting her, despite setbacks due to injuries.
Jade candidly shared, “There’s some element of truth in what I communicate through my tweets and verbal expressions. Sure, at times, you could feel overlooked or forgotten when the rigors of pain and injuries sideline you. In that context, seeing the women’s division move ahead might provoke a sense of fugitive melancholy. But then, converting that into the fuel for motivation, I persist. The women’s division today is unprecedentedly strong, competent and vocal. We’ve never had such a talented pool of women or donated as much screen time to women as we do now. It feels empowering that we’re living in the prime time for female wrestling. Frustrating as it may have been to sit out and not participate, it was also a sharp reminder of the excellent division I would be rejoining post my comeback. Michaels, who has always entrusted the women’s division with faith, deserves my heartfelt thanks. I recall the time when I got injured; I apologized to him in tears. To which he comfortingly responded, ‘Don’t apologize; it’s not your fault.’ I am genuinely grateful for him understanding that injuries are an inevitable part of this profession, and providing me enough healing time, both physically and mentally. And when I turned fit, he didn’t hesitate to reintegrate me back into the main event picture, a gesture that I deeply appreciate and feel capable of accomplishing, and I’m excited to prove that Cora Jade is back, and is here to stay.”
