In a new video that was posted on his YouTube channel, Max Caster revealed that he doesn’t get offended by the reactions he receives from his ring entrance raps.
Often times, The Acclaimed member blasts former President Donald Trump and others in his raps as he makes his way to the ring.
Back in 2021, Caster was suspended from AEW after he rapped about Simone Biles’ mental health, the Duke Lacrosse rape accusations, and fake PCR tests.
Caster said, “I think it’s important to do that. A lot of wrestling is based on, can I get people to like me? If you try too hard and you go out there and you say, ‘Please love me, please love me,’ it’s cool, it’s okay. We can try all the tricks, and here’s a pyro, or here’s some new gear, a flashy look, new song.”
He continued, “But I feel like the best artists are the ones who will say something and stand by it. So I’m talking Kanye, Dave Chapelle, these are the guys that are the top of their game. So I take a lot of inspiration from that. What I do, a lot of it is kind of stand-up comedy, and a comedian can go up there, tell a joke, might offend some people, but a lot of people think it’s funny. So as long as it’s funny, I’m good with it.“
Max Caster Opens Up About Controversial Ring Entrance Raps
Professional wrestler Max Caster recently shared his thoughts on the reactions he receives from his ring entrance raps in a new video posted on his YouTube channel. Known for his controversial lyrics, Caster often takes aim at public figures, including former President Donald Trump, during his performances.
Caster gained significant attention earlier this year when he was suspended from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for his rap that touched on sensitive topics such as Simone Biles’ mental health, the Duke Lacrosse rape accusations, and fake PCR tests. Despite the backlash he faced, Caster revealed that he does not get offended by the responses he receives.
“I think it’s important to do that. A lot of wrestling is based on, can I get people to like me? If you try too hard and you say, ‘Please love me, please love me,’ it’s cool, it’s okay. We can try all the tricks, and here’s a pyro, or here’s some new gear, a flashy look, new song,” Caster expressed.
Drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Kanye West and Dave Chappelle, Caster believes that the best artists are those who are unafraid to express their opinions and stand by them. He sees his raps as a form of stand-up comedy, where some may find them offensive while others find them funny. As long as it elicits laughter, Caster is content with his performances.
While Caster’s approach may be polarizing, it highlights the diversity of opinions within the world of professional wrestling. Some fans appreciate his boldness and willingness to tackle controversial subjects, while others argue that certain lines should not be crossed.
AEW has been known for its edgier content compared to other wrestling promotions, allowing performers like Caster to push boundaries and create a unique experience for viewers. However, it is essential for wrestlers to strike a balance between entertaining the audience and respecting boundaries to maintain a positive image.
As the wrestling industry continues to evolve, performers like Max Caster challenge traditional norms and bring a fresh perspective to the sport. Whether you love or hate his ring entrance raps, there’s no denying that they spark conversation and keep fans engaged.
