During a recent guest spot on the popular podcast “The Schmo”, reigning and undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes expressed his desire to see ex-UFC Champion Conor McGregor try his hand at WWE.
Rhodes, ubiquitously known as the American Nightmare, stated, “One I’d love to see dip his toes into the water with WWE would be Conor (McGregor). Just to dip his toes. The rivalry scene at WWE, the competition is divergent than what you might assume. It’s extensively about who brings the most discipline, who embodies the most professionalism, making it to the final cut, making it to a WrestleMania. I reckon someone who has previously vied at the highest level as he did with numerous spectacular fights under his belt, it’s apt timing to perhaps delve into the more theatrical aspect of sports entertainment. I genuinely believe he would excel at it.”
The clip didn’t escape the notice of McGregor and he promptly responded. He exclaimed, “The Schmo and the undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes savoring some silky @ProperWhiskey! EXEMPLIFICATION OF CLASS! Adore it Cody, catch you soon.”
