The January 17th episode of AEW Dynamite had its highest viewership in three months and its highest 18-49 demo rating since September 2023.
The latest show had 891,000 viewers, a 0.33 rating in the key 18-49 demo, and a 0.26 rating in the 18-34 demo.

AEW Dynamite was #1 for the night in its timeslot, beating Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (1,093,000/0.29) NBA on ESPN, (786,000/0.24), Sista Series (1,131,000/0.24) and The Challenge (497,000/0.19).
Compared to last week, AEW Dynamite was up 11.8% in viewers, up 15.4% in 18-49 and up 24.5% in 18-34.
Compared to last year, AEW Dynamite was down 8% in viewers, up 8.2% in 18-49 and up 21.2% in 18-34.
AEW Dynamite had 117,000 viewers in men 18-34 (up 21.9%), 66,000 in women 18-34 (up 29.4%), 181,000 in men 35-49 (up 11%) and 71,000 in women 35-49 (up 4.4%). The show’s audience was 68.5% male in 18-49.

The breakdown of viewership by gender revealed that AEW Dynamite attracted 117,000 male viewers aged 18-34 (a 21.9% increase), 66,000 female viewers aged 18-34 (a 29.4% increase), 181,000 male viewers aged 35-49 (an 11% increase), and 71,000 female viewers aged 35-49 (a 4.4% increase). The show’s audience consisted of 68.5% males in the 18-49 demographic.
The episode was divided into several quarter-hours, each with varying viewership numbers. The first quarter-hour featuring a match between Christian Cage and Dustin Rhodes attracted 1,070,000 viewers, with 467,000 in the 18-49 demographic. The second quarter-hour, which included the end of the Cage vs. Rhodes match, a Swerve Strickland promo, and a segment with Chris Jericho and Matt Sydal, saw a slight decrease in viewership to 997,000 (down 73,000) and 461,000 in the 18-49 demographic (down 6,000). The third quarter-hour, featuring a match between Penta El Zero Miedo & Komander and Trent Baretta & Orange Cassidy, along with a segment involving Roderick Strong and Cassidy, experienced a further decline in viewership to 897,000 (down 100,000) and 430,000 in the 18-49 demographic (down 31,000). However, the fourth quarter-hour witnessed an increase in viewership with a Hangman Page promo, a Jay Briscoe tribute, a Mark Briscoe promo, and an interview with the Young Bucks.
