The WWE NXT episode slated for August 20, 2024 is anticipated to be an electrifying one as scores are expected to be settled and new challengers determined for the imminent NXT No Mercy pay-per-view event.
With Ethan Page’s NXT World Championship in their sight, WWE Superstars – Joe Hendry, Pete Dunne, and Wes Lee have all voiced their intentions to challenge Page for his title. A Triple Threat match has now been organized among these Superstars to ascertain the wrestler who will get to challenge Page in the next event, NXT No Mercy.
The wrestler to challenge Roxanne Perez will also be decided in an interesting multi-wrestler match. Following a discussion on females who haven’t yet had a shot at the title, Stevie Turner presented an idea initially posited by Robert Stone to Ava. This led to a selection of six Superstars for a Gauntlet Elimination match. Contesting in this match are Wren Sinclair, Adriana Rizzo, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker, Kendal Grey, and Karmen Petrovic. The winner of this match will face Perez in NXT No Mercy.
In what might be seen as less significant, a skirmish from the NXT Great American Bash barbecue has led to a tag team bout being scheduled to pit Hank Walker and Tank Ledger against The Good Brothers of The O.C., Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
Following her victory over Tatum Paxley, Lola Vice will now go head-to-head with Wendy Choo. This match follows an episode where Choo assailed Kelani Jordan, who was stationed ringside as a guest commentator.
Lastly, after feeling overshadowed by Dion Lennox who appears to be the center of attention among the women of NXT backstage, Ashante “Thee” Adonis has challenged Lennox to a match.
Here’s what the lineup looks like for next week:
– Ashante “Thee” Adonis vs. Dion Lennox
– Lola Vice vs. Wendy Choo
– Hank Walker & Tank Ledger vs. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows
– Gauntlet Eliminator Match: Wren Sinclair vs. Adriana Rizzo vs. Sol Ruca vs. Jaida Parker vs. Kendal Grey vs. Karmen Petrovic
– Triple Threat No. 1 Contender’s Match: Joe Hendry vs. Wes Lee vs. Pete Dunne.
