The broadcast of AEW Collision has been moved to a special start time of 5:00 PM EST on August 3, steering clear of a clash with WWE Summerslam 2024, which is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM EST. The original slot will now be occupied by Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, with the episode being pre-recorded on August 1.
Taking into account network ratings, AEW Dynamite’s 250th episode saw its highest viewership over a span of three months and the top 18-49 demographic rating in a month and a half. The show pulled in 795,000 viewers with a 0.27 demographic rating for 18-49 and 0.17 for the 18-34 demographic.

Despite the steep competition posed by Republican National Convention coverage across various channels like NBC, FOX News, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox Business, the AEW Dynamite managed to hold its own.
In other TV news, the match between the Indiana Fever and Dallas Wings of the WNBA, featuring a record-breaking moment by Caitlin Clark, managed to accrue 1,698,000 viewers with a 0.36 ESPN rating. The current WNBA season has seen a rising trend in popularity, with this game being the 16th to surpass one million viewers and the 14th starring Clark.
In the cable rankings, AEW Dynamite made its way to an overall 7th position while ranking 3rd in its time slot.
Comparing the viewership with the previous week, AEW Dynamite experienced a 15.1% rise in viewers and a 14.2% growth in the 18-49 demographic, even though there was a 7% drop in viewership in the 18-34 demographic.
Year on year, AEW Dynamite saw a dip in viewership with a 16.6% reduction in total viewers, a 20% drop in the 18-49 demographic, and a significant 28.6% reduction in the 18-34 demographic.
However, there was a 32.8% surge in male viewers aged 18-49, but a decrease of 39.4% in female views in the 18-34 age group. An increase of 8.3% was observed in male viewers aged 35-49 with an impressive 76.7% spike in female viewers in the same age bracket.
