The Packaging
This set features the 2020 style Elite packaging with the red/white/black/silver color scheme. The box showcases the featured wrestler on one side with their name on the opposite as well as a larger image, statistics and those whom also are in the set on the back.
Not to mention Jim Neidhart is the Walmart Collector’s Edition exclusive with this set but this set has not hit retail stores just yet.
Goldberg
Goldberg was my most sought after in this set for obvious reasons but he honestly looks spectacular. Mattel had said in the past they weren’t going to make any main Elite single figures of Goldberg but obviously that changed or was just a lie to buy the RAW ring. Regardless, he is packaged really well with the World Heavyweight Championship belt above his head as he’s yelling. He also comes with swappable glove hands, which are great. They’re just a bit more close-handed than the ones he comes with on in the packaging. Goldberg features one of his earlier WWE attires with the black/white look. He has a new head scan where he’s yelling as well as with his brown beard. It’s nice they included all of his tattoos as well as I always forget about the one on his right bicep.
Overall, this figure is really nice. It’s great we have a new scan for him and a single release figure at that. I really plan on getting a second one to keep mint as I love the way he is packaged in the box. Just a really nice figure and if you didn’t pickup his others I highly recommend this one.
Natalya
Natalya is another fantastic figure in this set. It also features an all-new head scan and it’s spectacular. It looks just like her so Mattel did a fantastic job capturing her likeness. Her attire is pretty cool, too, as it comes with removable shoulder pads as well as a removable cat ear headband that grips around her head quite well. Her attire is super detailed and her articulation is pretty nice as well. Not to mention she comes with swappable fists, too.
Overall, if there was ever a Natalya figure to pickup this would honestly be the one. They did so well on it and the detail is just fantastic. Even her height is accurate compared to the others in the set, which is a great bonus. If you’re a fan of Natty I highly recommend this figure as it’s one of the gems of the set easily.
Lince Dorado
This is Lince’s very first figure and he happens to have two in this set as one is the chase variant. The chase is the gold version, which has some color and design variations from the main release in black/blue. His head scan is great as it’s super detailed with the fur and other designs on the front and back. He comes with a rubber Lucha House Party shirt that looks great and fastens decently for Mattel’s rubber shirts. The black/blue version has tights that go to above his ankles, revealing his ankles and black short boots. He also has swappable hands and a piñata accessory where the head pops off.
The chase version, as mentioned, is the gold attire. The tights on this figure cover his ankles and overall is more of a flashy looking figure. The attire just pops more but is also a little more simple as there’s less color variations compared to the main release. He has the same accessories as the main one, too.
Overall, both figures are really nice. I personally don’t know much about Lince as I don’t pay much attention to the Lucha House Party but I must admit this figure and Gran Metalik from Elite 73 are both very well done. Highly recommend both and I look forward to adding Kalisto to the batch next.
Finn Bálor
Bálor’s latest is a great change of pace from most of his figures as this one features his red Bálor Club attire with the white kick pads. Finally a different look as a lot of his figures look the same after quite a while. This figure features his latest, smiling head scan that looks eerily just like him. By far his best to date. He comes with a cloth jacket as well as swappable open hands to recreate his entrance. His red trunks with designs and his white kick pads look great.
Overall, this figure is nice if you’re a fan of Bálor and want to have all of his other attires. I was hoping they’d make him in blue but you could easily paint this one blue and have that outfit as well. I recommend picking thing one up, too.
Andrade
This is by far Andrade’s best figure to date. It looks a bit similar to his NXT Elite that recently released on Ringside but this one, in all yellow, really pops in comparison. Not to mention he comes with a cloth yellow/black jacket, which really makes it even better. He has a simple outfit that is mainly yellow with his logos on his knee pads as well as his black boots. He comes with swappable hands plus a swappable mask head and a balled up mask accessory. The mask accessories are super nice and make the figure that much cooler as now you have an alternate look for him, which I love.
Overall, this is an awesome figure. If you’re a fan of his I highly recommend picking it up as you can’t go wrong with all the accessories he comes with. They just make the figure that much better. I’m honestly not sure how Mattel will top this for his next figure in the future.
AJ Styles
Finally we have AJ Styles, another figure I wasn’t so thrilled about getting but once I had it in person was very impressed. This figure looks a lot like his Top Picks Elite that released but the colors are opposite on this one. This one is more yellow/green with black than black with yellow/green if that makes sense. He does come with the same rubber shirt as well as his vest. AJ is sporting a new, smiling head scan that looks phenomenal, no pun intended. Removing the rubber shirt is a bit of a pain though as it does unhinge on the sides but due to his long hair it can be tough to get the collar around his hair. Just be patient when working the shirt around his head as you don’t want to ruin it. Once his accessories are removed you can see the detail in his attire, from his elbow pad to his gloves, wristbands, armband and tights/kick pads. Not to mention his awesome tattoo on his abdomen.
Overall, even though we’ve gotten a lot of AJ figures lately this one is nice and I like the scan. The smile/smirk on his face is a nice update and the colors on this figure are so vibrant it really pops compared to a lot of his others lately. If you’re a fan of him I’d recommend picking this one up, too.
Overall
Honestly, this set is really well done. I feel Mattel has been knocking it out of the park lately with how detailed their Elites are getting. The accessories are really nice, too. There’s not one figure in this specific set that I’d say is bad and I mean that. They all are just very well done. I would suggest picking up the full set as you won’t be disappointed.
