KidRobot recently teamed up with NECA to create these fun miniature WWE blind box figures, featuring many superstars of yesterday and today, such as:

  • Andre the Giant
  • AJ Styles
  • Roman Reigns
  • Undertaker
  • Ultimate Warrior
  • John Cena
  • Charlotte Flair
  • Ric Flair
  • Alexa Bliss
  • Ronda Rousey
  • The Rock
  • Sasha Banks
  • Shawn Michaels
  • Triple H (Mystery Figure)

The Packaging

If you’re unfamiliar with blind box toys these are usually miniature toys that come in a box where you cannot see what is inside. Besides the fact you can’t see them they are also limited to certain ratios, causing collectors to buy more in hopes of getting the ones they want. While toy companies love this as it results in endless sales, collectors go nuts trying to obtain the ones they want. Thankfully we received a case from KidRobot to review for you so we were thankful to open all 24 boxes to complete the set and then some.

If you look in the gallery below you can see the main box they come in, which you’d see at a store, then inside that box are 24 individual mini boxes with a figure inside. On the box you can see the colorful, cartoon-style artwork of John Cena and Ultimate Warrior, followed by images of all the figures in the set with their ratios. Since 24 come in a box some figures may be easier to get than others. If you watch the video in this article you can see how long it took us to complete the set.

Not to mention there is one mystery figure in the series, which is Triple H. We got lucky and obtained two of him surprisingly while the more difficult one to obtain, AJ Styles, we only got one. It was quite wild a mystery figure would be easier to get than the more limited figure in the set.

The Figures

After first revealing these over on Wrestling Figure News Source I realized not many people were a fan of the style of these. They are very cartoony looking and some look better than others. As a kid I always loved animated-style figures of characters and these, I think, are a lot of fun. I favor some of them over the others personally but love them all nonetheless as they’re miniature figures I can display on my desk or in my collection.

Regardless, they are statue-like in that they don’t have much articulation. I did notice you can swivel their head on some, maybe all of them (didn’t try) as well as their waists. I did try moving the arm of Undertaker in my review but it popped out of its socket, telling me it probably shouldn’t be budged.

The paint apps on them are nice and simple, going with the cartoon look they have. They are fun and great for display, too. I feel KidRobot did a decent job capturing the overall look and feel of each superstar they decided to make and I’d personally love to see them make others down the line.

Overall, they are cool mini figures if you are into that. They are very stylized so if you expect them to look 100% like who they represent then these probably aren’t for you. The detail on them is decent enough and just overall a fun spin on the superstars they represent. These will cost you $9.99 each as well, which isn’t far off from many blind box toys these days. If you don’t want to press your luck I recommend getting them on eBay that way you know what you’re getting, but if you do want to press your luck you can get them over on the KidRobot website so far. Even WWEShop has them as well from what I’ve been told.

Anyway, thanks for checking out this review and look for more soon! In the mean time be sure to follow Wrestling Figure News Source on Twitter for more!
