The Packaging
Each figurine comes in a very vibrant, colorful box with images of several of the other figurines in the box. As of late the figures seem to be coming in different colored boxes compared to the standard red box, but I’m not sure the significance of this. I originally thought red/blue meant RAW and SmackDown but clearly there’s more colors than that. They also come with a very nice booklet with information about the superstar with images, information and more. The figurines are also very protected by plastic to prevent them from being damaged in transit, storage, etc.
Asuka
Asuka is probably my favorite of the batch as she looks fantastic and is extremely detailed. They really nailed the likeness on her, especially at her scale, so I’m very impressed. She also comes in a turquoise colored box, which is unique compared to any they’ve released so far.
Looking at Asuka out of the packaging she is posed with her arms wide open and legs sprawled as if egging on someone to attack her. She’s wearing her maroon/purple/gold outfit. Her armbands/gauntlets are perforated texture along with her kick pads and bra-type top. Her belt is also uniquely molded to show texture/detail. Honestly, she’s more detailed than her Mattel Elite figures, which is very impressive for the scale. Lastly, she is on a black base with a felt bottom and a sticker with her name on it underneath.
Overall, looking at this figurine from head to toe it’s very well done and it actually looks like her as sometimes the likenesses are a bit off. Whether you’re a fan of hers or not I highly recommend picking her up for your collection. It’s by far one of their best.
Kevin Owens
Kevin’s figurine is pretty cool, but his likeness is a bit off. He’s in a typical KO pose where he’s gripping his fist as if he’s going to knock you out. Besides the mediocre likeness the detail is pretty nice. He has a nice fade in his hair on his head as well as his tattoos, minus his hand tattoos, and the logos on his shirt, shorts and kick pads. He comes in a green box, which I believe is also the first of the series to be in this colored box. He has great detail on his hand tape and kick pads, which is a nice bonus. Not to mention he is also on a stand with felt and a sticker with his name on it underneath.
Overall, minus the likeness I think the figurine is pretty cool. The detail on it is really nice. If you’re a fan of his I’d say add it to your collection unless you’re really anal about the likeness.
Sami Zayn
Sami is probably my second favorite of this batch as his likeness is decent and the detail on his is really nice. Sami is posed with his right fist in his left hand. He’s sporting his entrance jacket and hat as well as his checkered tights. You can see the wrinkles in his jacket, even the pattern and buttons on the collar area. His tights are super detailed from the checkered logos to the SZ logo and Arabic text. Lastly he has his black and white boots as he stands on his black stand with felt and his name on a sticker underneath.
Overall, I like this Sami. Perhaps this will be a little more sought after now that he won the IC title recently. I think this figurine is pretty nice as the likeness isn’t too bad and the detail on it is great.
Big E
Lastly we have Big E, which completes the batch of New Day figurines. Big E’s likeness is ok, but his detail is pretty great. He’s sporting his entrance duster jacket, with the New Day logo on the back and flames along the bottom, as well as his singlet underneath with the logos on it. He’s doing a cheesy pointing pose with a big grin on his face, not to mention his shiny short boots. He is also standing on a black stand with felt and a sticker with his name on it underneath.
Overall, it’s nice to finally have Big E to complete the New Day figurines. He looks pretty good, not fantastic, but the detail makes up for that in my opinion. If you enjoy New Day and are looking to complete them I recommend picking him up to do that.
