On the most recent session of his “So What Do You Want To Talk About?” podcast, Cody Rhodes disclosed that his return to WWE has reignited his passion for the wrestling business.
Have a look at some key takeaways from this podcast session below:
Speaking about his mental approach during his time in AEW, Rhodes shared: “I was deeply engaged in the unfolding revolution, desiring to be the most trusted figure amongst all the changes taking place. As the world began to embrace the new wave of independent wrestlers transitioning to big-league televised matches, I wanted to be the leading face for all of it. Reflecting on it, I now realize I might have focused too much on it, without properly examining whether it was working or boosting AEW’s profile.”
On the topic of his big WWE comeback, Rhodes jokingly speculated about the crowd’s reaction: “Upon my return at WrestleMania, I had a hunch I would be welcomed, although I also accepted the possibility of being jeered as the one who departed and pursued other ventures. I’d never claim that I was merely content to be there again–it was about securing the future for my family. However, the moment I stepped back onto that stage, my zeal for the industry was reignited. I was reminded of my ambition to reach the wrestling pinnacle; I realized it’s never too late to aim for the top.”
