Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins came through the crowd to confront The Rock & Roman Reigns on a March 8th episode of SmackDown.

Speaking to Jimmy Traina on the SI Media Podcast, Cody was asked if there was a moment that stood out to him in the build-up to their WrestleMania XL match. He named this segment.

“There was a moment, in the ring, live, happening in real time where Seth and I came down through the people to confront the Tribal Chief and Final Boss. I got a big kick out of seeing them see us. I’ve given a lot of respect to The Rock, and will certainly continue to do so, but I think he didn’t know who I was as a player. I think in the moment, he saw, ‘Geez, they’re all doing the WOAH. He’s signing autographs on the way down here.’ It’s a different type of individual than perhaps he maybe saw a picture online or one clip. We base so much off GIFs and social media. That moment, right before I slapped him, and I brought that slap, that moment was a nice moment amongst myself and Seth and our place in all this,” said Cody.

In a recent episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins made a memorable entrance through the crowd to confront The Rock and Roman Reigns. This segment stood out to Cody as he reflected on the build-up to their WrestleMania XL match.

During an interview with Jimmy Traina on the SI Media Podcast, Cody was asked about any standout moments in the lead-up to their highly anticipated match. Without hesitation, Cody mentioned the moment when he and Seth made their entrance through the crowd to confront The Rock and Roman Reigns.

Cody expressed his amusement at seeing the reaction of The Rock and Roman Reigns when they saw him and Seth coming through the crowd. He mentioned that he has always held a great deal of respect for The Rock and will continue to do so. However, he believes that The Rock may not have been fully aware of his capabilities as a wrestler. In that moment, Cody believes The Rock realized that they were serious contenders and not just another pair of wrestlers.

Cody also touched upon the fact that people often form opinions based on social media and GIFs. He believes that seeing someone in person and experiencing their presence is a completely different experience compared to just seeing a picture or a short clip online. Cody’s entrance through the crowd and the reaction it garnered from The Rock highlighted this difference.

The moment right before Cody slapped The Rock was particularly significant for him. It represented a defining moment for himself and Seth in their journey towards WrestleMania XL. It solidified their place in the wrestling world and showcased their determination to take on the Tribal Chief and Final Boss.

Overall, this segment on SmackDown was a memorable one for Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. It allowed them to make a statement and prove their worth as formidable opponents to The Rock and Roman Reigns. The reaction from The Rock, in particular, showed that he may have underestimated Cody’s abilities, but he quickly realized that Cody and Seth were serious contenders. This moment served as a turning point in their WrestleMania XL build-up and added an extra layer of excitement to their highly anticipated match.
