During his recent Peacock documentary titled “American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes,” Cody Rhodes admitted that as far as back as the historic All In pay-per-view event, which was several months before All Elite Wrestling was even conceptualized, he subconsciously knew he wanted to go back to WWE. He said,
“It’s like I knew I’d be back. When we did All In, I remember telling them I want to have signs backstage to tell you where the rooms are, and I want to have catering, and we’re going over all this. I wanted to replicate a WWE event, or at least the production side of it. Maybe had I looked further in at that point, I would have realized that I was starting on a path even then to getting back.”
Cody Rhodes, now one of the biggest babyfaces in professional wrestling, is set to face Brock Lesnar in their rubber match at WWE SummerSlam 2023 in Detroit, Michigan, this Saturday.
