In a recent interview on DDP’s YouTube channel, wrestling superstar Cody Rhodes unveiled details about the incredible surge of success he experienced following WrestleMania 40.
Rhodes concluded his tale of triumph by narrating his victorious match against Roman Reigns, where he snatched the undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the grand event of WrestleMania 40 (Night Two).
Rhodes, also known as ‘The American Nightmare’, revealed, “There’s a high you aim to reach and strike, and then there’s a high you wouldn’t even dream of which far exceeds your wildest expectations, and that is the state I found myself in at the end of that encounter… Attaining another layer of accomplishment feeling and a sense of pride in our hard work… I’ve articulated multiple times phrases like ‘We achieved this, we accomplished that’, and it feels great because for a prolonged period I was unable to voice that. And, absolutely, it’s the most extraordinary feeling I had no idea existed… If that’s the zenith, it was indeed a phenomenal build and run. Although I don’t believe it’s the pinnacle, but it was unique.”
Coming up, Rhodes is all set to defend his championship against Solo Sikoa at WWE SummerSlam 2024, scheduled for August 3.
