Cody Rhodes emerged as the undeniable WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania 40 after triumphing over Roman Reigns. Alongside his bustling wrestling career, Rhodes also commits his time to grooming the future of the wrestling world at his academy, The Nightmare Factory.

Rhodes, in a recent interview on the “Behind The Turnbuckle” podcast, divulged his thoughts on the hurdles he encounters in his wrestling journey. He mentioned, “The number one red flag I hear. If you encounter a legendary wrestler who is actively or partially on the roster, the leading alert for the young or mid-level talent is when they claim, ‘I’m just here for the young guys.’ I already comprehend. You’re not exclusively here for the fresh talent. I would prefer an honest approach stating, ‘I’m here for a few of you, and I’m here for myself.’ Wrestling is a selfish, competitive industry. I value transparency. ‘Here are my plans, let’s implement them.’ Whenever I perceive, ‘I’m here for the young guys,’ which isn’t often and hasn’t been heard for a while. Instantly, I understand it as the most significant caution. I’d rather have him admit he’s merely here for his benefit.”

Rhodes is soon teaming up with renowned wrestlers Randy Orton and Kevin Owens for a six-man tag team confrontation with The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa) on the forthcoming WWE Money In The Bank 2024 event.
